i had a dream i was nothing but a tiny particle existing where everything was nothing and nothing was everything and i was able to see when we all began and when everything ended despite there being no true beginning and no true end but none of that mattered to me because i was just a tiny speck of dust floating around
kicking a ball around in the middle of a baseball field in south carolina in 2023 after it rained to find ourselves surrounded by 50+ vultures drying their wings on the field lights and trees which felt like a ritual or ceremony we weren’t meant to see and two weeks before i was in maine where the population was just over 3,800 but it felt like an empty plain and there is a two hundred year old steeple that should have fallen over by now and it’s two years later and it’s still there and two years later i still think about how those birds felt like a secret and the steeple felt like it should’ve been one but i saw them with my own two eyes so two years later i took one month exactly to use tens of thousands of dots to memorialize these two memories that make me smile because one day those memories might just be a minuscule dot in a vast pool of memories but for now they are here forever

my space is growing more empty by the day and it’s strange putting everything by you love in boxes when you’re going away but there’s something nice about living in an empty space that makes you reflect on everything in your day by day and sometimes it shows up in the way you put pen to paper and have an entire page but you feel inclined to leave so much empty space and the figures you draw are the memories you’ve had merging with the memories you haven’t made yet and you’re living in an empty space and are waiting to fill up the empty again

i wonder to what extent bugs perceive their outer world. if they can understand they are but a microcosm to our microcosm to the macrocosm of the universe and so on and so forth. when i was younger i played a lot of sims and would lose myself in the thought that if i can rewrite the scripts of these individuals in my screen, who’s to say there’s not something out there bigger than humanity pulling strings and making things happen as they please. it kept me up knowing i had so much responsibility on my hands and that same responsibility is present when doing something as simple as catching a bug. so i wonder if bugs feel that same looming presence and what they feel when stopped in their tracks by some strange entity reaching from they sky only to let them go a moment after
