We want to give a huge thanks to everyone who participated in and supported Proton Pets. We loved working together with others worldwide to support local pet charities, pantries, and shelters. We are even more excited to see how Proton Pets will grow in 2027. For now, here's a look at this year's Proton Pets initiative including all the participating groups, the charities they supported, and, of course, lots of furry (and some not) friends!
Proton Pets, spearheaded by Ghostbusters, Virginia, is a worldwide initiative dedicated to supporting pets and animal welfare in our communities. Through pet food drives and outreach, the program works to make a real difference for both pets and their owners while raising awareness about the importance of pet pantries.

Our Zap & Trap idea made it all the way to Indianapolis this weekend with Circle City Ghostbusters debuting their awesome version at PopCon!
Inspired by carnival style shooting games, the Zap & Trap features customized Zip-string equipped wands and a gallery of fearsome ghost you can bust.
The Zap & Trap wands were created by our member Cookie. Industrial Arts and Crafts LLC of Northern Virginia, a specialist in haunted houses and escape rooms, created the amazing gallery.
Our Proton Pets final count is in and we raised...drumroll...$2,252.59! Thanks to everyone who bought merchandise, attended events, and donated to this special cause. The money will be going to the Richmond SPCA, SPCA of Fredericksburg, and Anything's Pawsible. We look forward to doing it all again next year!

We got up bright and early this morning to attend The Great Train Race in Fredericksburg. It was awesome to see so many happy young faces getting to race in an event just for them. We were super busy all morning and enjoyed hanging out with the Virginia Railway Express. Thanks to the event coordinators and all the attendees and their families who helped us make a big impact for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Virginia today.
