📢¡Nos vemos mañana a las 7 pm! 💥 Ghost Agency es la práctica colaborativa de la artista danesa Gro Sarauw y la artista y tecnóloga mexicana Anni Garza Lau. A través de investigación y la práctica artística, y en colaboración con ONG y distintas instituciones, Ghost Agency desarrolla una infraestructura que demuestra cómo la experimentación artística, fundamentada en procesos colectivos, puede articular problemáticas y contribuir al avance de los derechos de las mujeres y de los derechos humanos en la era digital. Mediante la alfabetización tecnológica colectiva, tanto en contextos locales como globales, la práctica de Ghost Agency ofrece medidas prácticas de resistencia frente a la violencia de género contemporánea en México y frente a los mecanismos de explotación del capitalismo de la vigilancia en general. Ghost Agency es un Micro Instituto en Art Hub Copenhagen (2023-26). Entre sus actividades recientes, además de la presentación de Refugios Digitales, se encuentra la exposición Session 8 en la galería Room Room de AHC, una exposición individual en el CCD en la Ciudad de México (Desde la Ceguera, 2023), el simposio Finite Future (2025) y una escultura pública comisionada por 18 SAC en Los Ángeles para 2027.

In their work with digital surveillance and the loss of privacy, Ghost Agency focus on the development of tools and strategies to aid our survival in the shadow of the digital hegemony extracting our data and agency. In Session 8, the artists ask: How can those who need to find sanctuary intervene in technology – or bypass it altogether? ABOUT GHOST AGENCY Through practice-based research in collaboration with local NGOs and institutions, Ghost Agency develop technological tools and an organisational structure that demonstrates how artistic experimentation founded on collective processes can articulate challenges and contribute to the advancement of the rights of women, and wider human rights, in the digital age. Ghost Agency present the work in AHC’s exhibition platform Room Room as part of AHC’s collaborative Micro Institute programme for 2023–2026. Join us on Friday, 7 November, for the opening of Ghost Agency’s exhibition ’Session 8’, from 5–7 PM! Ghost Agency explores digital surveillance and the loss of privacy, developing tools and strategies to aid our survival in the shadow of the digital hegemony extracting our data and agency. ‘Session 8’ presents their interdisciplinary practice across film, sculpture, photography, and light installation. The title ‘Session 8’ comes from the final scene of the film ‘Black Box Sanctuary’ (2025), based on a workshop held by Ghost Agency with young participants in San Ysidro, California – the border town at the pass to Tijuana, Mexico. Together, the participants speculated on the effects of constant online demands for participation and visibility: how can we express the emotional cost of the digital erosion of privacy and imagine spaces for withdrawal? Alternately playful and serious, the young group is documented creating and performing their own stories, while an AI authorised to animate their drawings intervenes as a parasitic presence in the “sanctuary.” ~ Ghost Agency : Session 8 7 Nov 2025 – 14 Feb 2026 Exhibition opening on 7 November at 5.00-7.00 PM.
