@ghost.fish.art and I design a print together this year after doing some research in the Northwest Room of the @tacomalibrary . We learned 20,000 acres of the Puyallup Valley was farmed by Japanese families prior to their forced incarceration during WWII. One common thread Kip and I had through this process was that Kip was an intern at Heart Mountain and I had volunteered with @minidokapilgrimage , both historic concentration camp sites. It was importantly for us to share this history, honor those who helped feed Tacoma and make the connection of immigrant farm worker populations who are still being targeted for detainment.

Hello everyone 👋 I know it's been quite a while since you last heard from me directly, but I wanted to show you guys what I've been doing in the past month 🐟
I'm currently working as the Artist in Residence at Friday Harbor Laboratories in the San Juan Islands! This week ( today ) I'll be holding a seminar talking about my work that I've been doing, along with a live demo. In a few days, I'll also be participating in Wayzgoose both as a vendor, and as part of a steamroller artist duo alongside @_saikick_
I'll be posting more about Wayzgoose in a day or two, so stay tuned for prints!
