When you start to realize what’s above you is bigger than anything you can fathom, you start to see that problems are just fluctuations in the vast field of existence.
My journey, both trials and triumphs boils down to the same truth that started all known creation: Allah (God).
Today, I graduate with my degree in Biology—an accomplishment achieved by only about 1.65% of African American men. Through this journey, I’ve learned that every cell adapts, every organism evolves, and the complexity of human existence within the vast universe is a rarity beyond comprehension. We are all striving to survive in a system larger than ourselves, but that does not make us insignificant. We are living evidence of something greater—a rarity unlike anything within or beyond our solar system.
So as I step forward, I do it not just with a degree, but with the powerful understanding that science and faith are not at odds; they’re sheer reflections of the same truth. I am living proof of a testament put forth—that knowledge and belief together can illuminate a path where possibility has no limits!
Neil deGrasse Tyson said, ‘Be ashamed to die until you’ve scored some victory for humanity.’ I step forward today committed to that victory.
