🎓 90 students are heading off to college with the support of scholarships from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.
This year, $473,000 was awarded from 47 scholarship funds created by donors who wish to support local students and their futures. More than half of this year’s recipients demonstrated significant financial need, and 39% are first-generation college students.
As these students prepare to walk across the stage and into their next chapter, they do so knowing their community is behind them.

✨ By investing in the people behind our local nonprofits, we strengthen organizations and the future of vital services in our community.
Congratulations to the inaugural cohort of the Nonprofit Leaders Collaborative! Over the past nine months, through the Nonprofit Impact Initiative and our partnership with Ascent Leadership, these nine leaders built meaningful connections with mentors and peers, gained clarity in their vision, and strengthened how they show up for their organizations and communities. They also found support, encouragement, and a shared understanding of the unique challenges nonprofit leaders face.
Thanks to a significant investment from the 1923 Fund, this pilot effort will continue for the next two years—creating more opportunities for nonprofit leaders to grow, connect, and lead with purpose across our community.
Child care continues to be a critical need in our community. The Brown County Employee Child Care Survey is an opportunity to directly inform collaborative action grounded in community data.

Last week’s Press Forward Summit offered a meaningful opportunity to listen and learn with partners from across the Midwest who are working to strengthen the systems that keep our communities informed, connected, and engaged.
In Northeast Wisconsin, we’re investing in research to better understand what information residents value, how they access it, and where gaps still exist. Early findings suggest that local news doesn’t just inform—it often leads people to further engage in community life. We’ll be sharing more of this data soon.
We’re grateful for the chance to learn alongside others in this space and to keep building toward a more informed and engaged region. For those who care deeply about informed and engaged communities, we’re always glad to connect around how this work aligns with philanthropic goals and opportunities in Northeast Wisconsin.
