Wayne Brereton is a folk singer-songwriter from Co. Offaly, Ireland. Following the independent release of his mini-album The Robins Call in 2023, he attracted the attention of US publisher Singular Recordings and is now finalising his debut album, set for release this summer.
The upcoming record features collaborations with acclaimed Irish artists including Niamh Varian Barry, Noriana Kennedy, Áine McGeeney, and John Spillane. Wayne is also engaged in transatlantic songwriting projects with folk and Americana acts such as Van Plating, The Rough & Tumble, Rob Ickes, and JigJam.
Known for his distinctive Midlands voice and evocative storytelling, Wayne continues to release original material that captures the spirit and beauty of Ireland through heartfelt songwriting and engaging live performances.
