Resale? A jaw-dropping 9/10. Parents are literally reselling kits on Facebook Marketplace for exactly what they paid. A subscription box with better resale than your car.
Then there’s Bang for Buck. A cold, hard 5/10. Because when the most-upvoted Reddit comment says “it’s the convenience and delivery for me — nothing you can’t find elsewhere,” that’s a polite way of saying you’re funding their marketing machine. Reddit was not subtle about this.
Ease of Use though? 8/10. The age-matched guides genuinely remove the parenting guesswork, and sleep-deprived brains appreciate that.

our engineering team is made up entirely of women — and moms.

In my mid-30s, I made the decision to completely change paths, go back to school for computer science, and discovered that I genuinely loved coding.
At the same time, becoming a mom changed the way I think about ownership, priorities, and what truly matters.
Building MINA is deeply personal from the beginning. Because I want my daughter and other moms know:
it’s okay to change your life,
start over,
and pursue something you truly enjoy
even after becoming a parent.

What’s really special about my MINA journey is that my son Zyler has been part of it since day one - joining events, carrying boxes, helping organize, talking to families, and cheering us on in ways big and small.
The giraffe on our MINA shirts? It is his art work!
As a mom, I spend so much time wondering what our children are learning from me. And through MINA, he’s learning what it means to give, to share, and be part of a community. I am proud of him, and so is he.

We need to talk about the Nanit Pro Baby Monitor.
Reddit’s verdict? Amazing hardware. Absolutely brutal business model.
The camera is genuinely excellent — crisp 1080p HD, top-down overhead angle, instant cry alerts.
Ease of Use scores an 8/10 because yes, it really does take 5 minutes to set up and the app is clean.
Quality gets a solid 7/10 — build-wise, it holds up well over the years.
But then the bill hits.
$300 to buy it. Then $100 a year for the sleep analytics you actually want.
Bang for Buck? A painful 4/10. Reddit is not quiet about this. “The $299 price tag is a work of fiction,” said one parent.
Resale Value lands at a 5/10 — turns out not everyone wants to inherit someone else’s subscription drama on Facebook Marketplace.
Overall: 6.1/10. If money is no object and you want obsessive sleep data at 3am, it genuinely slaps.
If you’re a normal human, a $50 monitor does 90% of the same job.
Worth it? Kinda. Overhyped? Probably.
