Their highly-awarded house mixed ferm farmhouse, this is what Anaïs turns into. Coming in at 6.5%, this version rocks some Brett with some bottle aging time, it pours darker than Anaïs with a foamy head and a funky, malty nose, it’s crisp and smooth with a huge kick of tart, funky vibes, it’s tangy and doesn’t have the phenols or esters of the OG, it’s really refreshing and bright, citrusy vibes, wrapping in a dry, funky finish. I dunno, man. Anyway, I grabbed my boy @skinnymcguinea ’’s fave - Death & Taxes SF-style Black Lager from Santa Rosa’s Moonlight. Coming in at 5.3%, it pours jet black with a crazy light brown head and a chocolatey nose, it’s crisp and dusty af with tons of bitter espresso, dark chocolate and liquorice vibes, it’s smooth and crushable yet quite intense, wrapping in a super dry, roasted malt finish. Bay Area classic.
