Their highly-awarded house mixed ferm farmhouse, this is what Anaïs turns into. Coming in at 6.5%, this version rocks some Brett with some bottle aging time, it pours darker than Anaïs with a foamy head and a funky, malty nose, it’s crisp and smooth with a huge kick of tart, funky vibes, it’s tangy and doesn’t have the phenols or esters of the OG, it’s really refreshing and bright, citrusy vibes, wrapping in a dry, funky finish. Wicked.

Delightful.

Our cruise got postponed, so we took a walk down Pier 39 and found Humble Sea. We loved ‘em in Santa Cruz so we grabbed a quick frothy. This is a 6.6% haze bomb with Citra, Centennial, Simcoe and Chinook, it pours opaque with a foamy head and a citrusy nose, it’s creamy and smooth with orange pine, light resin, and pithy grapefruit vibes, it’s bright with so much citrus, it’s got a nice piney bitterness, all wrapping in a dry, melon, stone fruit finish. Banger.

Landed at Toronado for a quick drink - it’s a legendary beer bar in Haight Ashbury, and tbh the vibes are weird. Cash only, bouncer at the door, got yelled at for filming by the bartender. I dunno, man. Anyway, I grabbed my boy @skinnymcguinea ’’s fave - Death & Taxes SF-style Black Lager from Santa Rosa’s Moonlight. Coming in at 5.3%, it pours jet black with a crazy light brown head and a chocolatey nose, it’s crisp and dusty af with tons of bitter espresso, dark chocolate and liquorice vibes, it’s smooth and crushable yet quite intense, wrapping in a super dry, roasted malt finish. Bay Area classic.
