Roxie Alsrueh, a queer mom of two, felt like she was drowning trying to support her wife as she breastfed their first son through pumping and bottle feeding. The baby was not a good latcher, Alsrueh told LGBTQ Nation, and he had lost 20 percent of his body weight after birth (it’s normal for babies to lose between 5 and 10 percent).
