This Friday the new @fallen.footwear video “RISE” premieres at La Paloma Theater in Encinitas. I started skateboarding in the summer of 2000 and with so many incredible full-length videos coming out at that time I was immediately and permanently captivated by the filming and editing behind these masterpieces. And when the credits rolled and I’d see all the behind-the-scenes stuff of traveling and sharing new experiences with friends I was hooked. A lot can change in 25 years but the love for the art and adventure that comes with documenting skateboarding is as strong as ever, and that’s why having the opportunity to create a new video with Fallen has been one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences of my life. I’m incredibly proud of the team and what we’ve accomplished with this video. With a refreshingly unique group of skaters inspired by the era of big skate videos I think we’ve created something special that feels right at home in the short catalog of Fallen videos. My personal favorite trick I’ve ever filmed for something, everything about this just felt cool. The tricks, the spot, the filming, the fact that it was during a trip to Argentina with @fallen.footwear , the shoe I was wearing that you might find out about soon, and having all of my homies there to hype me up was just an awesome experience. Had a blast rambling around the Gold Country with @fallen.footwear 🏕️ Hanging with longtime hometown friends, watching the team destroy spots I’d dreamed about skating growing up was surreal.
