It is now cheaper to fly from Vail to Bulgaria, ski Bansko, stay in lodging, and fly home than it is to ski Vail itself.
A 3-day lift pass at Vail costs $852 ($975 if purchased the same day). Add equipment rentals at $92 per day ($276 total), and you’re looking at $1,128 just to ski locally.
Meanwhile, a round-trip flight from Vail to Bulgaria with lodging comes out to $682. Add a 3-day lift pass at Bansko for $201 and equipment rentals for $60, and the total is $943.
Saving money by traveling across the world to do the same activity is mind-blowing.

With the world’s deadliest race known as The Isle of Man TT starting this month, here are some of the best flyby moments ever captured from the legendary event. The Isle of Man is located approximately 32 miles (51 km) off the coasts of Scotland and Ireland in the northern Irish Sea.
Bikes ripping through villages at nearly 200 mph, inches from walls, curbs, signs, and spectators. Over 150 riders have lost their lives during the TT races, with more than 280 deaths
recorded on the Mountain Course throughout its history. The speed at the TT is already hard to comprehend, but the flybys capture reactions that make you feel like despite how crazy these videos are, nothing compares to being just inches away.
One small mistake here could very well mean death.
