3D illustration system for @youtube ’s new global visual identity. Over several months, we worked closely with the YouTube Creative Studio team to craft a custom illustration style that reflects the offbeat, playful, and curious nature of the content that brings YouTube to life. Designed to be more than just decoration, the challenge was developing an illustration system that could function as a storytelling tool, capable of capturing almost anything within the vast variety of content the platform is home to. Each illustration was individually modelled, procedurally textured, animated, and rendered in-house. With 300+ illustrations produced to date, our ongoing partnership with YouTube will continue to expand this body of work across the brand and business. Thank you to @kieranmistry , @shauna.buckley , @mattsaint , @harry__boyd , Louise Cox, and the extended YouTube Creative Studio team.
