Frosted glass credenza, just finished in the workshop. The surface diffuses the color, but it still bursts through - almost glowing from within. W 240 × H 90 × D 47 cm / W 94.5 × H 35.4 × D 18.5 in

Today we reveal the ADwards trophies. Every idea begins within something. At a certain moment, it stands out. That moment is what we recognise. Don’t just play. Win. Submission deadline: 10/04.

Featured in ROOM 51 - “20 chairs in search of their author” A selection reflecting on the chair between design and art.
The Ombré Glass Chair is mentioned in relation to Shiro Kuramata’s Glass Chair, starting from transparency, but moving into colour and perception.
For me, it’s less about comfort, more about how you approach it - that moment before sitting.

Text by @gloriaescri

Off Course mirror, featured in AD Germany 2025. Mirror series developed during a three-week residency at Schloss Hollenegg in summer 2022. The castle, located in Styria, Austria, dates back to the 12th century and now hosts a design program curated by Alice Stori Liechtenstein. The mirrors draw on trompe l’oeil and planetary motion: layered, elliptical forms that shift between depth and perspective. @schlosshollenegg @alicestori @ad_germany

Closing out last year, I received Latvia’s Excellence Award in Culture, presented by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia. This recognition matters to me not only personally, but also more broadly, as a confirmation that design is a cultural language through which we can speak about our country’s culture, economy, and the traditions we shape together. Thank you to the @kulturas_ministrija for this recognition. And thank you to everyone I’ve worked with and continue to work with, and to all those who inspire and support me. Previous recipients of the award include Elīna Garanča, Andris Nelsons, Gidon Kremer, the Latvian Radio Choir, the State Chamber Orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga”, Pēteris Vasks, Viesturs Kairišs, Austris Mailītis, Gints Zilbalodis, Katrīna Neiburga, and the Latvian National Museum of Art. — Viens no aizvadītā gada īpašākajiem notikumiem bija Izcilības balvas kultūrā saņemšana, ko piešķir Latvijas Republikas Kultūras ministrija.
