Amasunzu or Isunzu, Rwanda hairstyle Through research, conversations, and observation, with @cause.tm we’ve been exploring the relationships between visual art, spirituality, mysticism, and design. The amasunzu a traditional Rwandan hairstyle once worn in more than 30 different forms by men and unmarried women, became one of the many inspirations that stayed with me. A language of identity, status, and beauty carried through form. I like to think that, materials, gestures, and forms can carry both ancestry and possibility at once. As reminder that our heritage is not something behind us.

@germainisel worked as an artistic director and scenographer in Paris, collaborating with luxury brands and renowned French houses, before moving to Montreal to work as an industrial designer at a multidisciplinary agency. These years honed his skills in conception, creation, and ideation, while developing an adaptable and versatile approach. Working for an Architecture agency and having opportunities to work on international projects across Europe, North America, and Africa, has strengthened his ability to think beyond borders and disciplines, pushing boundaries of design and create a positive, lasting impact by turning ideas into meaningful realities.

Design for a Cause. We craft spaces and objects that forge an empathic connection with users. Through diligent research, we’ve delved into the relationships between visual art, spirituality, and mysticism, trying to envision how these cultural narratives can influence future design. By incorporating sustainable materials and practices, we aim to honor both the past and the future. Music composed by @malloyjamesofficial Script by @meggypyanee Video by @jsmntran
