Hungary Part 2. I watched in awe as my mother country reinvented itself yesterday and showed its true face to the world. That we’re not just a bunch of backwards sad little people who support the worst possible leaders that make life miserable for so many in the world. (Putin, Trump and the likes who thrive on creating deep divisions in society, trampling human rights and freedoms, causing chaos and needless wars, the list goes on). Our trip to Hungary came at this pivotal time by chance, we came to visit family and friends, not to write long politically charged posts. I usually write a few words and let the photographs speak. We learned to hide. A few months ago I was still sure that change was impossible. As an immigrant to Canada I hold dual citizenship and I am privileged to have this level of access to the world. But in the past few years I was increasingly less comfortable saying where I was born due to the image Orban and his lackeys were projecting to the world. His spectacular fall from grace and how powerfully Hungarians rejected his repressive and corrupt rule gives me hope that it’s possible elsewhere and we can have a positive future. It’s amazing to see my mother country show up this way and not just be a follower anymore. Yesterday that all changed and seeing that newly found confidence and twinkle in people’s eyes makes me feel proud to be from here. You can feel it when you talk to people here and I am so lucky to be here at this historic time to experience it. Thank you for reading my TED talk. ❤️🇭🇺

Phone snaps from the last little while. Raw and unfiltered, just like my thoughts these days. 😅 #shotoniphone

Boxing Day Photo Dump - I’ve been quite busy lately with client work and I am feeling beyond grateful for the amazing people who have been trusting me with their imagery. I am still blown away daily that I get to do this for work. I still take the odd photo for myself and re-learning to share so here are few tid-bits from daily comings and goings. Looking forward to 2026 and wish you all the very best!
