Cashmere Care Guide A little love goes a long way. COMB From time to time, your garment may develop small pills—this is totally normal. When it’s completely dry, lay your garment flat and gently comb the surface using a cashmere comb or fabric shaver. Hold the fabric lightly and move in the same direction as the knit. A soft touch is all you need to refresh your garment without harming the fibers. WASH When it’s time to wash, fill a basin with cold or lukewarm water and add a small amount of gentle wool detergent or baby shampoo. Place your garment in the water and let it soak for 10–15 minutes. Slowly move it through the water with light motions, allowing the fibers to release dirt naturally. Avoid rubbing, twisting, or wringing—cashmere prefers patience. RINSE Empty the soapy water and refill the basin with clean, cold water. Gently press your garment to remove any remaining detergent. Repeat if needed until the water runs clear. This helps keep your garment soft and comfortable against the skin. DRY Carefully lift your garment from the water and gently press out excess moisture—never twist. Lay it flat on a clean towel, roll the towel to absorb water, then unroll and reshape your garment. Leave it to air dry flat. Avoid hanging while wet, as this can stretch the fibers. STORE If you’re storing your garment for a long period, make sure it is completely clean and fully dry. Breathable storage is best, and natural protectors like cedar or lavender help keep moths away while being kind to the fibers. With gentle care, your cashmere will stay soft, elegant, and beautiful for many years to come.
