Celebrating International Womenâs Day with some of my favourite, powerhouse women.
On Friday, we got the
@marieclaireau community together for our International Womenâs Day lunch, presented by
@lorealaunz and supported by
@figur_co - alongside our drinks partners
@treadsoftlyaus and
@champagne_bollinger - to celebrate the power of womenâs voices, courage and resilience.
We heard from four truly remarkable women:
â¨
@AmyShark - the songwriter who turned vulnerability into a superpower, sharing the persistence behind her global success, from years of pub gigs and songwriting sessions to ARIA awards, a new album and now an acting debut alongside Russell Crowe (the film Beast is out April 10).
â¨
@ShereleMoodyfemicidewatch â journalist, activist and founder of
@TheREDHEARTMovement and Australian Femicide Watch, whose tireless work ensures the lives of women and children lost to violence are never reduced to statistics.
â¨
@Noor.Azizah.rohingya â a Rohingya refugee turned global advocate for justice and education, now co-founder of the Rohingya MaĂŹyafuĂŹnor Collaborative Network, working to rebuild and uplift Rohingya communities around the world.
â¨
@JessFoxCanoe - Australiaâs most decorated paddler and one of our greatest athletes, reflecting on the mindset, discipline and perspective required to perform at the very highest level.
Thank you to these inspiring women - and to everyone who joined us - for reminding us why sharing stories is so important and why refusing to stay silent can change the world â¨
