My first memory of creating anything happened at a nursery school end-of-year party where the teacher was supposed to decorate the report cards but was running late.

While waiting for the teacher, I remember my mom asking me, “Why don’t you draw it yourself?”
I picked up the markers. Drew. Eyebrows went up.
Wow. Look at this.
Those compliments (true or not) have run quietly in the background ever since through every new classroom, new city, and every industry.
Psychologists call it self-efficacy: a domain-specific belief built from early mastery experiences that compounds over time. It’s not “I believe in myself.” It’s “I have evidence, from a long time ago, that I can do this.”
This is how I became a creative (or at least what I remember). And I think more people are more gifted than they realize. Even if they haven’t found it yet.

This robot story is interesting because the market is still divided on human vs ai-assisted art. Some artists still falsely present their work as 100% human-made in order to keep the value high.
