Rónán Ó Raghallaigh and George Hooker - An Tobar agus an Chloch, 2024 🎥
In collaboration with filmmaker George Hooker, Rónán Ó Raghallaigh documents a return to a sacred well in Dunlavin, where a carved Neolithic stone was removed in the 1800s and placed in the National Museum.
Ó Raghallaigh carves a new spiral stone using quartz and leaves it at the site. Rejected at first - thrown out three times - it now quietly remains. The work reflects on spiritual loss, cultural memory and the dislocation of artefacts from place.
