2023 was a year of transitioning from our early adulthood to the new parent phase. We have desires to hold on to our hobbies and passions, but our time and energy now revolves around our precious new son.
And we love it. 🥰
We look forward to helping him develop as best as we can so that we can share our passions with him.
At the time of this post, Miro is already 21 weeks old. Here are some of the highlights since his birth. We are resisting our instagram account to be taken over by our son, but we’d like to finish Miro’s introduction.
To respond to a common question we get, below is context regarding Miro’s name.
Miro is a short and distinctive name which met our goal. After rejecting about 50 names during the pregnancy, this name came to us closer to the delivery date. We’ve held on to our top 3 names as Miro was born and decided to make the final call once we met him in person. As usual with our important moments, our final decision of calling him Miro Ra was made by following our intuition.
It has been interesting learning about Miro’s meaning in various languages, which we will be shared in the comments. I hope Miro feels the freedoms to navigate his life without any narrow expectations and to utilize some of these meanings towards his advantage if he chooses.

Born on the night of June 24th, 2023, weighing a perfect 7lbs 14oz and measuring 19 inches long. 💛 Our hearts are overflowing with love and gratitude for this precious addition to our family. We couldn't be more thrilled to set sail on this incredible journey of parenthood. 🥰👶😍😻

The past few months have been a whirlwind of emotions and excitement as we prepare for this new chapter of our lives.
We've ideated a long list of names without any sticking quite yet. And we're impressed by how many items a tiny human being may need. But every step has been filled with love and anticipation.
