Sea otter DH 8th. Got a sick loaner bike for the weekend, threw some @wildernesstrailbikes and gave it a go. Hoping to get a bike figured out a little sooner so I can get in on the dual slalom action next year. All and all fun weekend seeing everyone and getting between the tape for a couple minutes. Now back on the tools and off to Korea with @pivotfactoryracing for the first round of the World Cup.
2025 Downieville DH Champ!
This has been a bucket list event of mine since I got a mtb back in 2008. Pretty sure the first time I rode the course I was in jeans and a T-shirt on my DH bike. A lot has changed since then but my love for riding my bike in the Sierra has only grown.
After a bonehead shift Saturday that resulted with a broken chain and a 3 mile walk I was all in for Sundays DH. Felt perfect from the start and after the first few time splits I saw I was on pace and decided to just focus on riding and ignore my watch for the rest of the course. Crossing the line I was happy with my run but taking the win was still a huge surprise.
Couldn’t have done it without all the people in my corner.

Looking forward to representing that #1 plate next year.
