What looks like a chill episode was in reality so stressful to make: I wanted to do everything for real - actually make matcha and multitask to film and share this story at the same time. All in one single take. And I'm glad to report that I did it! The very first take was surprisingly spot on, so that's what you are seeing here~ enjoy! 😀

700 Games 1 Year Game #257 - ‘Peranakan’ @geniegames.co The first thing that will hit you about this game is how beautifully presented it is including a wonderful neo prene mat out of the box and a colourful and visually appealing design. The Game is essentially a tile layer in which you’re trying to create the conditions on the board that will score you the most number of points. You’re aiming to collect sets of the four Kueh tokens and you’ll do this by clever use of the meeples you’ll be placing out onto the board as you place tiles. On your turn, you’ll take one of the tiles from the market and the associated Kueh token and then place the tile on the grid. You have the option of placing one of your meeples onto the tile you have just made and that meeple will then earn tokens once the row and column is complete from matching tiles. This creates a very interesting dynamic in which you’re trying to operate successfully within a small player board to maximise your output whilst also making sure that you’re not helping your opponent. The game just whizzes by and has the luxury of having a really accessible rule set but a deeper level of strategy that’s going to keep players coming back to the table. The game works wonderfully at two players and I found that to be a bit of a sweet spot for this, but it was still just as fun when we introduced a third. If you are a fan of games such as Azul and Sagrada etc then this is going to fall firmly in your wheelhouse. Auf der qualitativ hochwertigen Playmat legen wir, wenn wir an der Reihe eins, eins der vier zur Verfügung stehenden Teile aus. Nehmen wir das Plättchen, erhalten wir ein Kueh (bestehend aus vier verschiedenen Süßigkeiten und einem Jokerfeld). Je nach Spielerzahl haben wir eine Anzahl der zwei unterschiedliche Spielfiguren zur Verfügung (Nyonyas und Babas). Ist entweder eine komplette Reihe, oder alle Felder um deine Figur belegt, erhältst du alle Süßigkeiten die auf deinem Plättchen angezeigt werden. Aber Vorsicht! Die anderen Spiele haben ggf. ein anderes Ziel. Man darf Plättchen uberbauen, so kommt es vor, dass der Plan nicht aufgeht und die Ausbeute geringer ausfällt.🤩 Ein Wettkampf um die besten Plättchen und die richtigen Süßigkeiten entsteht! Nur wer die meisten Sets aus allen Süßigkeiten bei Spielende vor sich ausliegen hat, kann das Spiel gewinnen. Ein spannendes Spiel mit viel Dynamik und schnellen Zügen.
