Wilted tulips glaze reveal!
I took a looser approach to glazing, which felt like a risk initially but I’m so glad I did. This sculpture was inspired by a vase of tulips that wilted in a matter of hours one afternoon due to the burning hot old radiators in my apartment. I was really taken by the beauty of them limply draped over the edges of the vase, and kept that image in my mind for many months before deciding to finally sculpt it #ceramics #glazing #handbuilding #artist
Cat’s out of the bag! Free People is carrying a limited collection of my ceramic pieces (and I think they’re already almost sold out) This has been such a long process — each piece is hand sculpted and glazed by me — I’ve been working on them since June!
