Does it still need introduction in 2026?
The Ford GPW 'Jeep' represents everything that we have under the "off-road" umbrella in 2026. Sure, it does look crude today, but back in its hayday, this machine was the backbone of the Allied forces in Europe during World War 2... It was simple, reliable and extremely capable. Not just today, but the OG jeep will never loose it's relevance...
This is THE machine because of which many names exist today in the automotive world; CJ Jeep, Land Rover Series 1, Suzuki Jimny, Toyota Land Cruiser and our very own Mahindra Thar... All of them taking direct inspiration from the original Jeep in their own ways.
Huge thanks to @rahulj_569 for helping us film this legend! More photos coming soon 🫠
The Phaeton feels more like a direct attack on VW’s German rivals than a product making marketing sense.
It’s rumour that the Phaeton was actually a reactionary move pulled by then VW bossman Ferdinand Piech in retaliation to Mercedes and BMW foraying into the small car market with the A Class and the 1 Series, which is VW’s bread and butter business. He had also instructed that the Phaeton should be able to drive non-stop at 300 kmph while the cabin maintains 22 degree temperature 🤯
This VR6 specced Volkswagen Phaeton belongs to @yashsawant19 who’s loving it so far as his daily driver.
