Katherine Johnson is today's STEAM Hero!
One of NASA’S human computers. 🚀 She was an American mathematician who calculated and analyzed the flight paths of many spacecraft during her more than three decades with the U.S. space program and helped send the first man to the moon! Johnson’s legacy still lives on as NASA announced it had named an NG-15 Cygnus cargo craft the S.S. Katherine Johnson in her memory.

Excellent work to Graduate engineers at Hoare Lea who held a STEAM event for Queen Anne’s School in Caversham.
The morning consisted of a presentation about Building Services and the services Hoare Lea offers. This was followed by an activity designed where the students were asked to design a hotel, considering both sustainability aspects and the impact on the local community. The activity was a great success and some of the students returned from break time early to continue the work!!
The follow up survey showed that 89% of the students found it beneficial to work with an employer such as Hoare Lea to help them understand more about careers and the world of work!
