Honored. Grateful. Motivated. We deeply appreciative to receive this official proclamation from Mayor Muriel Bowser recognizing our work to support and uplift Black men’s mental health across Washington, DC and beyond. What started as conversations, check-ins, and community healing moments has grown into a movement rooted in purpose, vulnerability, and impact. This recognition is bigger than us, it represents every man who chose healing, every speaker who shared their story, every volunteer, partner, supporter, and every person helping break the stigma surrounding mental health. A special thank you to the incredible GenerationDMV team that continues to pour into this mission day in and day out. None of this happens without your passion, hard work, creativity, and commitment to the community. Thank you for believing in the vision and helping bring it to life. 🖤 As we prepare for the 2026 Men + Mental Health Conference & Gala, this serves as a reminder that the work matters, the conversations matter, and our community matters. We’re just getting started. #GenerationDMV #MensMentalHealth #BlackMentalHealth #WashingtonDC #CommunityHealing

Strength doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like surviving, rebuilding, and choosing to keep going. We’re honored to welcome Doc Gooden, Founder of Still Standing and Men’s Health Resilience Advocate, as a panelist for the 2026 GenerationDMV Men + Mental Health Conference. After overcoming both a stroke and cancer, Doc Gooden has dedicated his platform to helping men navigate pressure, purpose, healing, and personal growth through honest conversation and resilience. His story is a reminder that even in life’s hardest moments, you can still stand. 📍 Washington. D.C. 📅 May 16 ⏰ 11AM–4PM 🎟️ FREE Conference 🌐 #GenerationDMV #MensMentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #BlackMensMentalHealth #StillStanding

Your mental health is not something to ignore. It’s something to understand, protect, and talk about. The truth is millions of people are struggling, often in silence. And too many still aren’t getting the support they need. We’re creating spaces where conversations happen, barriers are broken, and healing is prioritized. You don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s talk about it. #GenerationDMV #MentalHealthAwareness #BlackMentalHealth #MensMentalHealth #EndTheStigma

Strength isn’t silence, it’s self-awareness. This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re holding space for what often goes unspoken. At GenerationDMV, we’re building a community where Black men can show up fully, no pressure, no judgment, just support. Because healing starts with honesty. And no one should have to go through it alone. Check in on yourself. Check in on your people. Your mind matters. Your story matters. You matter. #GenerationDMV #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #BlackMenHealing #YouMatter #DMVCommunity

Excited to share that I’ll be a vendor at Generation DMV’s Men + Mental Health Conference. I’m looking forward to connecting with fellow professionals, organizations, and community members to share more about Therapy For Us and the work we’re doing to support youth and families. If you’re attending, be sure to stop by and connect.
