I’ve always been a fan on laying on the glass bead blast heavy to get the original feel of Gen Yo nearly two decades ago.
As nice as it felt after anodize, the chance of string breaking was always a possible issue.

OneDrop 19mm are a little softer on the durometer rating, and .002” thinner.
