The people in these photos remind me how important we are to this Culture of HipHop. I was raised on many of the principles of the culture which allows me to travel and meet people who share in similar principles. We are not that much different and Hip Hop is probably the only genre of music that is enjoyed by multi nationalities, backgrounds and upbringing. The stories these young people shared with me reminded me of what I felt when I first heard rap and it wasn’t even being referred to as a Culture. It was pretty much downplayed by everything and everyone corporate and established in so called high society. People didn’t understand the strength because we had no structure. We came with and open mind to create and share and then we started to make waves and then we realized how much we have in common under the struggles of life in general and Hip Hop is one way created for us, by us to communicate and celebrate our very existence. Some are in their late teens and early twenties seeing and even hearing us for the first time, while others are repeat supporters all sharing in this amazing experience. I LOVE HIP HOP. THANK YOU 🙏🏾
