⚠️Last month, the High Court ruled that a blanket exclusion of trans people would be unlawful. This means that trans people must not be excluded from single-sex spaces.⚠️ Despite this, the government still haven’t sent back the exclusionary and hostile EHRC Code of Practice. Will you email your MP and ask them to reject the EHRC guidance? It doesn’t matter if you’ve emailed them before – the situation has changed. See the link in bio to email your MP.

For trans young people, finding a space of safety, acceptance and love can be challenging. Many young trans people don’t know someone else like them. Their worlds have become small because that’s what feels safe. That’s why our work bringing young people together is so vital. We create uniquely inclusive and caring communities that help them feel seen, supported, and accepted for who they are. To donate, see the link in bio.

Our CEO and co-founder, Jay will be speaking at this year’s Pink Therapy Conference in Preston on 22 August. Jay will be exploring what it means to support trans, non-binary and gender-exploring people in a time of heightened social, political and cultural pressure and how the intersection between trans activism and the therapeutic and counselling field builds hope. Other incredible keynote speakers include: • Shon Faye, author of The Transgender Issue: An Argument for Justice • Activist Ali Bromley • Dr Raawiyah Rifath, whose research addresses LGBTQIA+ asylum in the UK • Dr Dwight Turner whose scholarship shapes contemporary thinking in the field The Conference is for psychotherapists and mental health practitioners seeking to deepen their work with gender, sexuality and relationship diverse clients – and for LGBTQ+ practitioners. They also welcome activists, researchers, journalists, students and early-career scholars who want to interrogate, challenge and extend their field. Get your ticket – see the link in bio.

Want to inspire trans young people? We’re looking for trans panellists for an upcoming community event, Imagining Our Futures, taking place on Saturday, 30th May (12–5pm) in London. Each year, Gendered Intelligence runs this event for young trans and gender diverse people and their parents/carers, focusing on work, careers and activism. A key part of the day is a panel of trans adults sharing their experiences — and we consistently hear how powerful and transformative this is for young attendees in shaping how they see their own futures. We’re currently looking for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse panellists from a wide range of backgrounds to share their work, career or activism experiences. Event details: 📅Saturday 30th May 2026 ⏲️ 12:00–17:00 📍London 💸£50 speaker fee + travel expenses We know this fee may be below typical speaking rates; this event is rooted in a community “giving back” ethos. Today, we uplift all LGBTQ+ families, both those with children and those without, and of course, those with fur babies. LGBTQ+ families come in all shapes and sizes, and all deserve to be accepted and cherished. It’s love that makes a family.

Our Summer Camps are run by trans people, for trans people. We create a uniquely inclusive and caring space for trans young people. For many young trans people, our camps can be the only chance they have to take part in fun outdoor activities in a safe and affirming space where they are free to be themselves. There’s something magical that happens when we come together in a trans-only space – where young people can just be themselves, knowing they won’t be judged. For many, they can escape their everyday realities of misunderstanding, bullying and isolation. Will you donate to support our Summer Camp Appeal? Together we can create spaces of safety, love and acceptance for trans young people. Donate today – see the link in bio.

LGBT Foundation and Gendered Intelligence have unveiled Waiting Well, a National Trans Waiting List Support Service designed to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation for people on NHS gender identity clinic waiting lists. 🔗 Link in bio for the full story. 📸 Unsplash - ✍️#SupportIndependentLGBTQJournalism 📰🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond. Your support funds our journalists and contributes to PCF's (@pridecommunityfoundation ) grant-making and policy work.
