St. Brigit’s festival is on 30th January. The fest is all about giving the women who’ve pushed Irish music forward their flowers. There are few who standout as much as @gemmadunleavy_ . She’s been the voice of Dublin ever since her anthem ‘Up De Flats’ graced our ears in 2020 and now she’s headlining Friday night of the celebrations.
Back in the Georgian mountains a few months ago studying ancient sacred songs and microtones 🇬🇪❤️🤍

We lost an incredible person on thursday
Conor Biddle, the immense talent, top buzzer and kindest soul who literally and metaphorically kept us all lit ⚡️
Despite his talent, his generosity & enthusiasm seemed to be the centre point of everyone’s stories about him, so I’ll share mine…
I first met Conor in 2015 when I played Metropolis festival & he was lighting the stage.
It was my first solo festival, i was being over ambitious & prepared for it as if I was a main headliner. Conor, who didn’t know me, saw what I was trying to do & came up during sound check asked me what I wanted & spent the next 20 minutes designing lights for my set as if I had privately booked him.
The lights were fucking class!
It didnt matter that it was 2pm & there was barely anyone there. Conor lit the stage as if it was the last set of the night & i was buzzing, hoping one day i’d get to work with him again
How lucky would I be cause over the next 10 years we’d work together on so many shows & festivals. He was there with me as I grew from empty festival stages to my headline olympia show, always believing in encouraging & enhancing anything I did. Not only lighting the stage but helping with visual and design ideas, showing me nieces and nephews around the venues, calling over in the middle of his up the walls schedule to make a touring set up that I could operate without him.
He always wanted to take what you gave him to the next level and seeing his talent and career grow over the last 10 years has been a privilege. No matter how busy he got or how his career grew and it did, massively, the encouragement or effort he put into people never spread thin, instead it grew with him & that’s something so rare
I’m so grateful we got to tour together in November with Kneecap and crew. Getting to experience the rig he had designed every single night was a privilege & seeing the joy in him behind that desk was infectious (see slide 2) 🤣 he gave us some of the best laughs of the tour & i’ll cherish them forever
Thinking of his friends & family, especially his loving husband sean 💔
The sky will forever be well and truly lit up
Glisten with the stars Conor Biddle
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Precious time spent high up in the Georgian mountains this year under the invaluable teachings of Malkhaz Erkvanidze
Thinking of all of my Georgian friends who have been protesting on the streets for over a month now

Last show of the year opening for @kneecap32 at a sold out SSE Arena 🤯
It’s been a joy and a privilege to play with the lads over the last 2 months but Saturdays show was truly something special. A beautiful tribute to @moglaibap ‘s Da, 9000 people singing back @kneecap32 tunes As Gaeilge in a sold out arena. No better way to honour his legacy and I’m so grateful to have gotten to witness it. Forever in awe of yous @kneecap32
