And honestly… getting to meet @therealjackmcbrayer and work with the production team was just as fun. Such a great group of people behind the scenes bringing it all to life. 🎥✨

I still remember the first time I saw the movie, “Carrie”, by my all time favorite author, Stephen King
Have you ever seen it?
There’s something haunting—and strangely revealing—about Carrie.
Beneath the horror is a deeply human story of a young woman suffocated by control, shame, and rigid belief systems.
Carrie White is raised in an environment where her body is sinful, her intuition is dangerous, and her voice is nonexistent.
Her mother’s religious dogma teaches her that her natural gifts—her sensitivity, her psychic awareness—are something to fear, suppress, and hide. Add to that the cruelty of her peers, and you get a girl who has never been given a safe space to feel, express, or understand herself.
What makes Carrie’s story so powerful is not just what happens to her—but what doesn’t. She never learns how to process her rage. She never gets to honor it as a signal, a boundary, or a source of power.
Instead, it builds quietly beneath the surface—unseen, unacknowledged, and deeply misunderstood. By the time it erupts, it’s no longer conscious or contained. It’s explosive. Destructive.
Not because rage itself is dangerous—but because it was denied, shamed, and left to fester in isolation.
Much like Pachamama (aka Mother Earth), the divine feminine rage can cause earthquakes, tsunamis, forest fires…..and Carrie certainly created a lot of death and destruction through her uncontrolled/uncontained anger.
For some of us, and this was me, our silenced rage shows up in passive aggressive nit picking and nagging. And with that came self judgment, inner criticisms, shame and guilt after the fact.
