Lying on a blanket in the grass with the pug, pretending 55 and sunny is warm. The older woman next door furiously throws sticks and leaves over the fence
How dare nature reach beyond man-made boundary lines
The traffic noise blows out my cognition, but the brief lulls let through an echo of Debussy’s Sonata on the violin just faint enough to recognize
Her husband performs next to a slightly open window
As a stubborn child, my mother would tell me ”the world doesn’t revolve around you” and I would argue that she was wildly mistaken -for many reasons ;)
My overly literal sense told me we’re either the hub or the spoke
As I lie here, the hub, I can’t help but laugh
Yesterday I was screaming WHAT IS THE POINT???
Today I remembered there isn’t one
Life is so beautiful
How to convey a message as clearly and concisely as possible without the convolution of language? Symbols
Do you notice the ambiguity of these words all beginning with C? Are they actually immediately quantifiable?
The letter C as a symbol shows a break in the circle, a break in the infinite, revealing that interpretation is dependent upon where you stand in observation of it
C can be seen as a bowl or vessel with the potential of holding many things at once. It can be seen as a dome or shelter, to conceal or protect what’s inside. It can be seen as a tunnel or a causeway, connecting one point to another
Can you see the images forming in your mind’s eye?
Allowing symbols to communicate with us through life and imagery is our connection to that which is greater than us, the merging of logic and abstract
These are a few symbols I’ve been contemplating this past week and some ways they have appeared in imagery
With our current place in time being represented by the hexagrams 46 and 25, do you see them showing up symbolically in your life?
Can you pay a little more attention to C words and observe how they shape your subjective reality?
Stay open to the information and complexity stored in one symbol, one word, one image, or one small phrase
Simplify
Listen
Let them speak
What are they telling you?
As the expression of language as we know it becomes more and more disillusioned, how can we know what is real and true?
Look to children
Look to people with disabilities that are unable to utilize spoken or written language
Look to animals
Truth is expressed and received through the language of the form
A language that comes from within that can only be cultivated through listening, purity, and trust
Learn this language and you will know truth
The only way our bodies know how to get our attention is through the language of pain
A cry for acknowledgement, to be recognized, to be witnessed and addressed
To be met face to face, to be known deeply
Where are you suppressing, ignoring, avoiding?
Listen
Listen
Listen
Stop thinking, just listen
You may know why it’s there, you may not. The bottom line is that it is
- prioritize starting at zero -
What does it need?
What is it trying to tell you?
The map of our minds, the map of our bodies, the map of our lives, the map of our cities, the map of our countries, the map of us as humanity, the map of our evolution
A map of the invisible threads that tie us all together in this beautiful and intricate cosmic web of life
