Will I weird people out if I talk about grief? I keep grappling with questions like these. And like most straight men, I too take great pride in being able to bury everything in colossal graves of unresolved traumas, unexpressed feelings and unexamined wounds. I like to pretend silence is some great virtue. And we all know how these graves hold zombie resentments that will rise one day to harm those closest to us. The Nautch Boy takes you places you know well exist but don't ever dare to go. It's hilarious. It's also devastating. The writer's heterophobia -- which is a real thing and not a ragebait at all -- is forgiveable. I urge all of you, especially men here seeing this, to pick up this one book. Thank me later.
