Now, they are joining Voices Against the Genocide for a special charity concert in solidarity with Palestine—bringing together their Western classical roots with the haunting beauty of traditional Palestinian folk music, in support of the UN World Food Programme’s work on the ground.

Friends, I have decided to no longer continue #366daysofpractice. It hasn’t felt right for a very long time now - to post daily music videos on the same app I use to bear witness of a Gen0c!de. I would like to use the tiny platform that I have to help inform and give voice to the oppressed. As much as I possible can.
I am proud of how far the challenge has taken me and my relationship with my viola, and now I feel like it’s time to put that relationship to what little good I can do. I will absolutely still post music content, and I hope many of you will not be offended by my connecting it to stories of people across the world and instead open up your hearts to humanity with me.

I’ve been having such an out of body experience performing shows these last few days. Showing up to work and hearing audiences laugh or applaud, all the while horrible just horrible realities replaying in my mind and knowing that they are occurring in real time. It doesn’t feel right.
At the same time I suppose music is an instrument for good and should be used as such. I hope to find a way I can add more of that to the world and somehow do my part for those oppressed and deserving of dignity.
I’m rambling a bit, just trying to put down my thoughts because it’s been truly disconcerting and I just don’t know how to think anymore.
What I do know is: #CeasefireNow 🇵🇸
I cannot practice today. I cannot make music. I’m completely broken by what I’m seeing today. I am broken by what I have seen for 365+ days. I am broken by the history of decades.
And this is not even speaking of what is happening in silence in the north of Gaza. I fear the day that silence will be broken and we will find out.
