Geely Auto is making a serious statement in hybrid tech 🚗⚡
At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the 5th Gen, Geely Emgrand i-HEV delivered an astonishing 106 mpg in a real-world highway test, a Guinness World Record for the lowest fuel consumption by a mass-produced hybrid.
But that’s only part of the story.
Geely’s new i-HEV system is also rated at a record 48.4% thermal efficiency, meaning nearly half of the fuel’s energy is converted into usable power, putting it right at the cutting edge of internal combustion engineering.
Under combined conditions, it still manages a claimed 106 mpg, showing just how tightly optimised the entire system is.
Efficiency isn’t just improving… it’s being redefined.
