Vulnerability moment.
Rebuilding myself from the inside out. It’s been a tough few months since losing my best friend, and I know I haven’t been myself. To those I’ve confused or worried: I’m working through it. Thank you for sticking around and checking in. I’m rebuilding what me is without her and also what grief looks like isn’t the same for everyone.

March had me back on my traveling ways, even if it was mostly work, I tucked in a few fun activities too. Celebrated friends, made new ones, and soaked up so many beautiful moments along the way. Not featured here: sound baths, more headstands, Muay Thai butt-kicking sessions, and far too many coffee runs. March madness truly lived up to its name… but if you know me, you know I wouldn’t have it any other way, well besides that I wish I could take my little travel buddy with me everywhere. 💛

Today and every day, I’m stupidly grateful that out of all the moms and all the kids in the world, I somehow got her and she somehow got me.
From tongue‑out selfies to Disney days, street‑corner dance breaks, paint‑everywhere art sessions and stories that spill straight out of her wild imagination, she reminds me daily that life is supposed to be played with. She’ll casually drop things like, “I can color my life however I want,” completely unprompted, and I’m just standing there thinking, “Yep, that’s my kid.” She is more and more like me every day—in the best, funniest, most chaotic ways—and I wouldn’t trade our adventitious, carry‑on‑only, snacks‑for‑dinner travel duo for anything.

Life gets stressful, no doubt, I have my daily struggles. But I promised myself I’d actually live it, not just manage it. So yeah… still in my “yes” era.

April was full of mom life—Disney days, shows, plays, speech meets… and nonstop chaos.
Some days it clashes, some days it flows, but I love both. Being a mom to my 8-year-old wild child (mini-me energy, for better or worse) is everything.
Can’t wait until she starts stepping into more of my world too… slightly terrified that she’ll take over completely, but mostly excited.

Days 5-8 of 8
Wicked witches, tattoos, and Deftones… this one was a ride.
Another dream London outing: a trip to the theatre to see Wicked, then straight over to @cultclassictattoo where the lovely @aaronhewitt.cct finally got to finish the snake on my stomach, worth the wait it came out amazing. As if that wasn’t enough, the two oldest decided it was time for their very first tattoos, only 50+ years later, so I got to grit my teeth through more pain and smile through theirs, but those looks on my sisters’ faces made every second worth it. Matching ink, sisters for life.
We wrapped it all up with Deftones live in concert (thank you @matashup for making it happen!!) and extra time spent with loved ones.
Sad to say goodbye, but I can’t think of a better way to close out eight very full, very loved-up days in London.

Day 4 of 8
Woke up at the crack of dawn to hit the famous Billingsgate Market in honor of my sister’s 50th, and naturally bought way too many oysters and enough fish to feed an army.
Then came the perfect reset: a full day in PJs before getting dolled up for a blues night with great food, great drinks, great company, and maybe one too many shots, all soundtracked by live music.
Honestly, what better way to launch a gal into her 50s? We may or may not have absolutely smashed (read: devoured) the cake when we got home, too.

Day 3 of 8
Big kid energy loading…
We kicked things off at a cute café in iconic Selfridges, where we generously bought square croissants “for the kids” and then proceeded to enjoy them just as much ourselves.
Then it was off to the Twisted Museum, where the kids made memories and we “supervised” by doing every silly, mind-bending activity right alongside them. Big kid fun unlocked. Olivia was extra spoiled with a stop at the Pop Mart store and yet another round of Labubu (or whatever we’re calling the latest little obsession).
The rest of the day was peak London: glorious English weather (read: rain), Lunar New Year decorations, wandering the streets, and soaking in all the amazing visual displays. Even under grey skies, time with the fambam and friends is nothing but laughter and sunshine in my books.

Back in London after 18 months, and Olivia wasted no time finding her people (and her cousins).
Tongue‑out tally challenge: how many can you spot in this reel?
The first couple of days were so full, celebrating my mom’s 70th, my sister’s 50th, catching up with friends, braving the chilly English weather, slurping seaside oysters, enjoying a very‑much‑missed Sunday roast, and exploring cute boat docks turned bars, the one video just wasn’t going to cut it. Consider this part one of a very joyful, very chaotic week.
New year resets with family and close friends was exactly what my heart needed.
