Who's excited for the new Dan Da Dan season? Happy First Monday in May! Today is the MET gala, which I always love to watch on live stream, I find I get so much fashion inspiration from the event. This year's theme is "Fashion is Art" so I wanted to post an art history inspired costume that I made waaaaay back in 2020. My idea for this outfit was if the walls of Versailles became a person. I put famous Rococo paintings on the costume and lined them with gold trim to kind of look like picture frames, and added other Rococo era fashion trends like panniers, pearls, and tons of lace. It's one of the best markets to get fantastic deals on amazing fabrics - I'll be going looking for fabrics I can use for future cosplans like Lady Gyokuyou, Captain Levi, and Bayonetta. At last my favorite part to work on from this Janna cosplay WIP, the sewing ️ I started sewing this last summer before taking a break to make Trevor, but when we decided to make new costumes for the Cosplay-eh finals I knew that league cosplays would be a super fun challenge! Fabric for this cosplay were purchased from @club_tissus I wanted to select fabrics that had a watery sort of texture and they had the absolute perfect selection! We also decided to add beads to our cosplays for extra sparkle to add to the watery effect, and I absolutely love the way the dress and corset now glitter #sacredswordjanna #sacredswordjannacosplay #leagueoflegends #leagueoflegendscosplay #jannacosplay

The next parts of the Sacred Sword Janna cosplay I want to highlight are the sword, accessories, and armour! All the 3D printed components (first two pics) I was able to model and print myself, though I am still waiting on nice enough weather outside to start sanding, priming, and painting them the shoulder armour and beads on the ribbon were made by my cosplay partner @vinylraven ! For this project we each focused on working to our strengths and so when one of our costumes had a piece the other was more skilled at we made stuff for each other. So in return for the foam work she did for me I did some 3D printing and LED work for her! That's definitely what I've loved the most about this project is the collaboration ️ ️#sacredswordjanna #sacredswordjannacosplay #leagueoflegendscosplay #leagueoflegends #jannacosplay

When I started planning my sacred sword Janna cosplay I found progress pictures other cosplayers had posted on their accounts INCREDIBLY helpful! So I'm gonna post some progress pictures of my own in the hopes they will help someone also! Here is some progress for the wig- it was definitely the most difficult part because there were so few examples of other wigs people have made online (I think I found one singular reference of a real wig), and the 3D model I'm going off of from the game is quite small and mostly shows her hair billowing in the wind. But here's what I figured out! For the structured components I used wires to build the frame, covered them in clear tape, then covered them in poly batting and painted them to match the wig. This wig was an old Raiden Shogun wig I got from @sirensreign which just happened to be the perfect colour and length!#sacredswordjanna #sacredswordjannacosplay #jannacosplay #leagueoflegends #leagueoflegendscosplay
