Today is the last day to secure your preorder of our long awaited campaign and lore books! Two books, packaged together; one focusing on our new campaign system, and the other on the rich lore of the Jwar Isles also include a full colour map of the Jwar Isles. Together with the books, we will also have three new model profiles specifically designed to progress through the campaign system. They also ship with fully fleshed-out profiles for playing a “standard” game of Bushido. Furthermore, one of these models - Gyō-Tochi of the Cult of Yurei - has an alternative sculpt available to purchase, as part of a package, when preordering the books. Stock of this limited edition version of the model will, as the name suggests, be limited, with some stock allocated to retailers. Bushido events will be back at UK Games Expo and tickets are available to purchase now! As with last year, we will be hosting two events to test the mettle of your warbands. On Friday 29th May we have “Bushido - Jungle versus Jumo” a narrative event for 12 players who can either join the defenders of Ushima, as they prepare for the onslaught of the rightful rulers of Izu, or sharpen their sacrificial knives, to storm the unwanted settlement of smugglers and thieves. Whichever side players choose, they will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of the Jwar Isles. On Saturday 30th May one of our flagship Grand Masters tournaments will be held. Players will battle over four rounds and vie to win the ultimate prize in tabletop wargaming, the opportunity to design their very own model for Bushido! We are back with more information about our next prerelease, Beneath the Open Sky, a Themed Warband for our brand new faction; The Horse Lords of Ataka as well as a special code for show pickups at Salute next weekend. Today we are pleased to show you the model renders for the Horse Lords, sculpted by the supremely skilled Mat Holmes. Those planning on attending Salute 53 at Excel London on 11th April may have realised that their theme this year is “Cavalry”. What better time for us to release this new box? What exactly does this mean though? Well, those lucky enough to be at the show will be able to purchase a box in person, however if you are not there you will have to be just as quick as this box will only be on our webstore for the one day! Or at least for now that is… As with all our other prereleases this box will be back for general sale in the coming months, however unlike the majority of our other releases, this box (and its accompanying blister) will only be available for direct order from the GCT Studios webstore or our US and EU distributors (Fire Forged Minis and Miniaturicum). Please be assured that this is a specific provision for this release and not a wider change in policy. Happy Friday the 13th Bushido fans! The day has certainly lived up to its reputation, but we are keeping our spirits high. Unfortunately we have not been able to ship preorders today, but please be assured that our team is pushing hard to get everything out the door as soon as possible. We’re aiming for next week and, again, will keep you posted if anything changes. Further to this is an important note about Mizuko and Shōgo‑Ryu: Due to the fantastic amount of community feedback we received after previewing them, we have made the difficult decision to update their rules. The models will ship with the original cards as they were already printed, packed and ready to go, prior to this decision being made. As the updated versions won’t be in the physical boxes, they will appear on the Bushido Companion App and on the webstore shortly. We understand that this is not the ideal solution, however we feel this is the best way to get the updated rules distributed in a timely and efficient manner.
