And yes, this all matters — both the People’s Choice and the Champion go on to represent Scotland at the British Street Food Awards finals in Sheffield September 4–6… and potentially on to the European Street Food Awards finals in Saarbrucken September 18-20. Against champions from up to 19 different countries. No pressure, but Scotland DID win the European title back in 2022 with Junk. And Cameron Laidlaw even got to cook on Saturday Kitchen. So…can history repeat itself?

I holidayed in my own city, and stayed at @100princesstreet - this wasn't my room. This is the top-of-the-range Archibald Signature Suite that's so fancy and probably reserved for megastars and oligarchs. Anyway, it's an utterly beautiful hotel, and I didn't hear a single tourist calling it 100 Princess Street (IYKYK).
