Our Senior Manager, Golf Operations, Mike Cole, was recently in Washington D.C. as part of the American Golf Industry Coalition for National Golf Day for legislative meetings and community service. #serve360 #marriottgolf
Tennessee golf was proudly represented on Capitol Hill for #NationalGolfDay 🇺🇸⛳️
TGCSA members Mark Stovall, Jay Willis, Bart Cash, Grayson Guthrie, and Paul Carter met with leaders and staff from the offices of Senator Bill Hagerty, Representative David Kustoff, and Representative Chuck Fleischmann to continue conversations surrounding the $1.9 billion impact golf has on the state of Tennessee.
The group discussed the economic, environmental, and community benefits golf provides across Tennessee, while advocating for the continued growth and support of the game statewide.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with our team and support golf in Tennessee.

Getting the 18th #NationalGolfDay Lobby Day kicked off on Capitol Hill with over 300 participants representing 41 states at 250 meetings. #GolfAdvocacy issues of focus are H-2B, USDA turfgrass survey, PHIT Act and PAR Act and funding for the National Agriculture Statistics Survey.
Some of the best learning doesn’t happen in a classroom, it happens through people.
Every conversation, every shared experience, every new connection is a chance to see things differently and improve your craft.
That’s the power of networking in greenkeeping.
It opens doors to ideas you might never have considered, methods you’ve never tried, and opportunities you didn’t know existed.
@mearhart18 recount is a reminder that growth isn’t just about what you know, it’s about who you learn from along the way.
Applying to the 2027 Links to Success is a perfect next opportunity to make.

Sometimes all it takes is one experience to change your direction.
Finding a new sense of purpose in your career doesn’t always come from a plan, sometimes it comes from stepping onto a different course, facing new challenges, and seeing the craft in a whole new way.
Links golf has a way of doing that. The conditions, the environment and the history, pushes you to think differently, adapt, and grow. Which can reshape not just how you work, but why you do it.
Cole’s video on being accepted to join the Links to Success is about that shift, a fresh perspective, a renewed drive, and the impact of experiencing something bigger than your everyday.
