We’ve been blessed by blues legends! Last spring the stars aligned and we were able to host Joe Bonamassa and his star studded band at GCR Audio where we recorded 7 of the songs that are on his album that is released today. It is a tribute to the great B.B. King. Engineered by our very own Jay Zubricky and Fred Betschen working with Joe’s band consisting of Josh Smith, Reese Wynans, Lemar Carter, and Calvin Turner. Sometimes it’s just about trying different drums! We are fortunate enough to have many drums in our collection here at GCR Audio, so when we are chasing down a particular sound with an artist and they say they are looking for a kit that feels smaller than what we usually use, that’s a good opportunity to break out our Ludwig bop kit! With a 16” kick drum, 10” rack tom, and 13” floor tom it is the smallest kit combination that we have in-house. It provided us with exactly what we were looking for!
