a couple of accomplishments:

i can officially say that i have a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre!! what’s even crazy is that i filmed several auditions tapes and went to several conferences in-between all of the madness of my final year.
so… what’s next?? well… i’m not sure but eventually move to NYC, become a Broadway star, and go to grad school to teach to next generation of theatre kids⭐️
here’s to the future and official being a Theatre nerd with a degree🫶

she kills stage management✨
i didn’t know what i was getting in to when i got asked to do this show back in November during tech week of Once In A Lifetime which i was a last minute ASM for. (i had less than 3 weeks to learn a show before opening!) i didn’t think i would become a stage manager this early in my undergrad, but in theatre anything can happen! this show was a many of firsts since this was my first show as THE stage manager… or should i say THE production stage manager!
from late nights in the rehearsal hall and the Tatum, the inside jokes/funny moments, to creating wonderful relationships between the cast, crew, & designers. this show challenged me and taught me a lot, i’m eager to take everything i learned & apply it to future shows down the road.
after we closed, i found out that i was nominated for stage management at Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Region 4!!! this means i will be displaying my teams work with other stage managers & artists next year! Harley & Rachel are SUPERSTARS for being my ASMs & stepping into this position as freshman. i was given a chance to ASM my first main stage the same time as them & i wanted to do the same for another freshman, luckily i was able to do that for two of them!! their hard work, determination, & dedication never went unnoticed. my asm’s, thank you for everything🤍
and i know i’m late to the party posting about the show three months later, but i wanted to figure out how to post about my stage manger debut! thank you to everyone who was apart of this process (so many people to tag, but can’t because of the limit). now please enjoy some spectacular content that we documented throughout the process so everyone can see all of the heart and amazing work the designers, cast, & crew have put into this show. see y’all on the next one💜

the last five years🤍
where do i even start with this show? words cannot describe how much i loved this project. i am so grateful that i got to work with an amazing group of artist AND we did it during the pandemic. this was my first main stage show at USM as an ASM in the Tatum Theatre, not a lot of freshman can say that. from theme dress up days, to creating show/rehearsal stickers, to doing my 2 phones dance backstage during every run, this show has created so many memories for me. thank you to anyone and everyone who made this possible💜 (swipe to the end for a surprise performance✨)
southern miss vol. i✨
i can’t believe i survived my first semester of college during a pandemic. although this wasn’t the ideal experience, i still made some good memories and i can’t wait to do it all over again. to devin and phoebe, y’all are my rocks and i don’t know what i would do without you guys... i LOVE you🥰
as far as theatre goes, i’m learning so much. even though all of our shows were done virtually, we able to create wonderful pieces of work. not only do i have amazing professors and instructors, but i’m working with an amazing group of talent students. i had the honor of being an assistant stage manager for an original show created by students in our theatre program and worked on performance pods for our last show of the semester. (we’re one step closer to bringing back the art that we love❤️)
last, but not least, i’ve learned a lot about myself and i’m proud of who i’m becoming. southern miss has changed for the better and i can’t wait to see what happens next🦋
the little mermaid🐚💜
i can’t believe this is my last show at indy. i’ve been apart of this department since cinderella and i can’t believe i’ve gotten this far. i loved being apart of this show, building and creating relationships i made, and celebrating the art form i love so much. the little mermaid is one of my favorite disney movies of all time and playing the baddest sea witch was so much fun. the one thing i’m going to take away from this department is that it doesn’t matter what your role is, cast or crew, but it’s about the memories you make with everyone. thanks troupe 7038, i’m going to miss you! whether the weather be cold, whether the weather be hot, we’ll be together, whenever the weather whether we like it or not✨
bridget swept the nashies!
it has been an absolute honor to win Outstanding Comedic Actress, be one of the All Star Cast members, and performed at the Spotlight Awards last night! i am beyond thankful for my troupe giving me constant love and support throughout the whole process. i have been overwhelmed with all of the comments that i have received and i’m just over the moon. i was so excited to see other schools from tennessee perform and/or win awards and let me tell you, everyone was amazing!! i can’t wait to do this again next year, who knows what it will have in store. #spotlightnashville ♡
bring it on, and so we did.
it’s been one week since this amazing journey!! i cannot tell you how much fun i had being apart of this show and the lovely experiences that came along with it. i’ve had so many opportunities this year to build on my skills and to meet other people who would become my closet friends. first, i want to thank Voltaire and Casey for coming in and teaching us kick-butt choreography. they showed me that i’m on the right track and to keep pursuing theatre as a career. second, i want to thank geni, kylie, tyler, mia, and other members of Crew for all of their support along with the Cast. lastly, i would like to thank Bridget for showing me that you should never be afraid to be yourself and going outside of your box. bring it on, forever♡ @ihstheatredept
time to dance by painc! at the disco✨
words cannot describe how much i love this band. they have brought me so much happiness and i didn’t know what it felt like until i found them. they have inspired me to become a better person and to watch them grow over the last few years has been fantastic. from seeing them on the Weezer tour for the first time, traveling to see them in Birmingham and Duluth, flying to New York City to see Brendon fulfill his Broadway dream in Kinky Boots, to being almost front row at a hometown show. the fact that i’ve traveled 1,340 miles and have spent an absurd amount of money to see & support this band is just mind boggling to me. thank you to Brendon, Nicole, Mike, Dan, Wicked Strings, Horn Boys, Jack, Zack, and Crew Members for making this one of the best days of my life. i will never forget this opportunity and i can’t wait to see y’all soon♡
(p.s.- thank you @glsen for this amazing opportunity and i hope to do this again soon!)
