Piece by piece, something big is coming together 👀
Patients and staff from Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo and Buffalo General Medical Center / Gates Vascular Institute helped complete more than 120 tiles for the 12th Man Mosaic—part of a nearly 2,000-tile art installation that will live inside the new Buffalo Bills stadium.
While the final design is still under wraps, each tile tells its own story. Participants added their names and messages—and will be able to track exactly where their piece lands once the mosaic is complete.

“We collected to give to the hospital because when I was in the hospital a lot of people gave different stuff to me. We wanted to give slime because that’s what I did a lot of.”
Champion Kid Hannah recently dropped off slime and LEGO kits for patients at GCH Buffalo. Known as the “slime queen,” Hannah spent her time as an inpatient here teaching staff and fellow patients how to make slime. During that time, receiving donations like these brought her comfort, happiness and something to look forward to—and now she’s paying that feeling forward!
“It makes us feel good because it helps other kids," says Hannah.

Thanks to their long standing history together, West Herr Auto Group president, Beth Hollis, Champion Kid Colt and the Colt45Strong Foundation have launched Colt's Closet at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
Designed for families facing extended hospital stays in our hematology/oncology unit, this initiative provides thoughtfully curated care packages, including bedding and other essentials, to make their time here a little more comfortable.
To celebrate the launch, Colt45Strong shared meals with patients, families and staff and handed out special keepsakes in honor of Colt’s late best friend and former patient, Liam—spreading even more comfort and kindness throughout the unit. 🐒✨
We’re so grateful for the generosity and heart behind this program, and for the community partners who help us care for our families.
