Greenfield Community Association Announces $100,000 Grant to Improve Quality of Life from PA Department of Community and Economic Development  Pittsburgh, PA — The Greenfield Community Association (GCA) has received a $100,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) through the Community and Economic Assistance Program. The grant will support efforts to enhance Greenfield’s public spaces, strengthen neighborhood connections and expand community programming.  “It’s a privilege and an honor to support the Greenfield Community Association and help deliver funding that will improve quality of life for residents and strengthen our communities,” said Senator Jay Costa. “I look forward to seeing shared spaces beautified and neighbors brought together as GCA puts these DCED dollars to noble use. I’m grateful to have such dedicated partners in the 43rd Senatorial District as we work together toward a bright future.” The Community and Economic Assistance Program is designed to support projects that foster community revitalization and economic development across Pennsylvania. GCA’s award reflects ongoing collaboration between residents, volunteers and local leaders to identify priorities that benefit the neighborhood as a whole. Funding will be used for beautification projects, infrastructure improvements and community events that promote engagement and improve quality of life for residents. “As a lifelong advocate of Greenfield, I'm proud to see this investment in our community,” said Christa Jones, President of the Greenfield Community Association. “This grant will expand our work to bring neighbors together through programs and spaces that everyone can enjoy." “From fundraising for community projects to hosting events, promoting local businesses and keeping our public spaces clean and beautiful, the GCA is at the heart of what makes Greenfield such a wonderful place to live," said Barb Warwick, District 5 City Councilmember. "We are deeply grateful to Senator Costa and everyone in Harrisburg for making this funding possible, and I know the GCA will put it to great use.”  @senatorcosta @pghdistrict5 @barb4pgh

Come experience the incredible Zambelli fireworks show during the 2025 Greenfield Holiday Parade this Friday, Dec 5 at 7:00pm. Launched right from Magee Field, it’s absolutely magical to watch them burst overhead up close — especially on a crisp December night. You won’t want to miss it! Time estimate - 7:15-7:20PM. @zambellifireworks
