I had an absolute blast going to Kodiak, Alaska with some of my family last weekend! The hiking, camping, and fishing was great fun considering the intense experience that we had! Wish I could've brought some of my equipment, but the best camera is the one you have on you.
Hello, my fellow scholars! I am both proud and ecstatic to announce my campaign to be a Senator for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences under the House of Innovation. This is an incredible opportunity for myself, and I cannot wait to accomplishment so many things with the party that I have the greatest pleasure of being a part of. I intend to apply my outside leaderships skills and my incredible knowledge of networking to help amplify our robust college and increase the student’s overall satisfaction. I have used my expertise to help advance the organizations that I am apart, and; in doing so, have become both the historian and president of my fraternity, Sigma Pi, and I have been the Studio Manager for the Student Video Network.
The major points of my platform primarily entail two very crucial things: connectivity of CLASS students and extracurriculars geared towards CLASS majors and minors. These, in my opinion, are two areas that are, unfortunately, not stressed enough within the college, and, if emphasized, would lead to higher major and minor satisfaction. First, I plan to aid and promote CLASS Coogs to create a greater sense of harmony between the students. This support starts with making CLASS Coogs outreach efficient and plentiful. Secondly, I intend to push for more extracurricular opportunities to be brought to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences alongside programs like the Civic Houston Internship Program (CHIP). My goal, with this initiative, is to help my fellow students obtain the careers they want in the future.
It is beyond words to work under the great leadership of Jordyn Chaffold and Farrah Islam, the presidential and vice presidential candidates for House of Innovation. Both of these individuals have such dynamic ideas and tremendously efficient methods of applying their ideas to the university, but their drive does not end there. By the end of their term, they will make sure that SGA is more open and accessible to the entire student body so anyone’s voice can be heard.
