We are approaching Pentecost Sunday, which is the day we celebrate the birth of the church and the day the disciples were baptized in Holy Spirit.
And as I’ve been teaching @gatheringplacedc about the indwelling of Holy Spirit it occurred to me that many believe Holy Spirit is only with us during church experiences or times of prayer. But we forget that he’s with us ALWAYS. Even during our shortcomings.
And while that should make us more careful in all that we do because we know that the presence of God dwells within us, this is not a message of condemnation. Instead, this is a message of gratitude. We are grateful that we serve a God that sees all that we’ve done, but still won’t leave us.
In a day that loved ones turn away at the slightest infraction, we are so thankful that the holy presence of God dwells within us even in our imperfections. And the reason is simple: he loves us to much to leave…

IM ASSIGNED TO HELP IT LIVE ❗️
Pharaoh tried to stop what God had ordained through fear, pressure, and destruction. But the midwives refused to partner with death when Heaven had spoken life. They understood that what they carried was bigger than them.
Some of us are in a season where God has assigned us to protect, push, nurture, and help something LIVE. Even in hostile environments. Even when opposition rises. Even when culture says to kill it.
Like the midwives, may we have the courage to preserve what God is birthing in this hour. What God has spoken WILL live.

Let’s be clear: Speaking in tongues IS a sign of receiving the Holy Spirit, but it isn’t the only proof! A changed lifestyle is just as much proof of receiving Holy Spirit as a changed language!
