#SceneAD: French retail giant Monoprix - famed for its chic supermarket aisles and tempting home sections - is officially opening its first hypermarket in Egypt at SPACE Cairo in Sheikh Zayed, after Gates Developments signed a deal with TMT for Trade and Distribution.
Founded in 1932, Monoprix has built a name across 16 countries with more than 140 stores blending groceries, fashion, beauty, home décor and lifestyle shopping. The Cairo location will be directly on the 26th of July Corridor, placing SPACE Cairo right in the middle of the Sheikh Zayed and 6th of October weekend circuit where everyone somehow ends up after 5 PM.
The agreement was signed by Gates Developments CEO Hassan Nasr and TMT founder Dr. Mahmoud Mounir Soliman, whose portfolio spans retail, food and beverage brands led by Monoprix stores. The French chain now joins a growing list of names inside the new hang out spot and commercial hub SPACE Cairo, including Ezz El Arab Group, Wissam Sargi Beauty Salon, Lebanese restaurant Karanfil and health food brand eeetwell.

وأشار إلى أن زيادة الطلب على الإسكان، خاصة الإسكان الاجتماعي، تعزز أهمية دمج معايير الاستدامة في المشروعات السكنية، لافتًا إلى أن الدولة بدأت بالفعل تنفيذ نحو 25 ألف وحدة إسكان اجتماعي أخضر، مع العمل على 30 ألف وحدة إضافية.
