Meet the artists in residence at the CCA this month: Gary Hill @garyhillstudio Gary Hill has worked with a broad range of media. His longtime work with intermedia continues to explore an array of issues ranging from the physicality of language, synesthesia and perceptual conundrums to ontological space and viewer interactivity. Gernot Wieland @gernot.wieland Wieland's work spans short films, drawings, installations, ceramics and lecture-performances. His narratives are constructed through idiosyncratic and often absurd combinations of images and language, blending autobiographical and fictional elements into poetic, dreamlike spaces. Magdalena Hill @magdalucca Magdalena Hill is an award winning multi-media artist and alternative-pop singer-songwriter, who is enjoying a creative rebirth fluidly expressing unique visions of film, visual art, and music. Ismar Čirkinagić @ismarcirkinagic Most of Čirkinagić's artistic practice is thematically related to socio-political context. It is mainly produced in the form of conceptual installations, consisting of videos, photos, texts and object-based elements.

Echoes of Venice — a series about the quiet convergence through which a collector, artists, and their works find one another, gradually forming a collection that, over time, returns in cycles to Venice — a city where things seem to begin, and to which they inevitably find their way back. The artists gathered here are not brought together by chance: some are connected through the context of the Venice Biennale, while others enter into more subtle dialogues across time and practice. GARY HILL. STRANGE TRAJECTORIES now digitally remastered and available as video on demand on @vimeo Back in 2007 I was allowed to accompany the pioneer in video art, @garyhillstudio ,during his setup of his retrospective curated by @intermediaartinstitute at @nrwforum in Düsseldorf. Now we have digitally remastered the original film, which was shot on BetacamSP and DV in 4:3 broadcast standards and converted the film in HD 1080p50. You can watch it on our channel on Vimeo!
