Stopped into a longstanding pharmacy that had some cool artifacts including the first commercialized version of Asperin launched at the end of the 19th century. I was lucky to get an electro therapy session.

It opened in 1995 in the space previously occupied by the famous Portuguese coffeeshop, which was an icon in the 1930s. The building retained many of the original Art Deco features including the ornate ceilings, chandeliers, and a large stained glass wall, which is currently behind the counter.

I actually watched the pizza cook take one out of the oven, studied it, disapproved and heaved it into the garbage.
Across from the Ageas Porto Coliseum which looms over our window, is this odd deco building, now a garage. I went in and asked if it had been a theatre and the attendant said it had originally been a factory. I don’t believe it.
